On page 127, Jean Hoerni states that he bleieves American's are unlikely to help Greg out in his quest. Why does he say this?

Please explain your answer fully.

Turning off Word Verification

I got this from another teacher so I decided to copy it:

"I finally figured out how to turn off the thing that makes you type a word in a crazy font before you can leave a comment.....go to Customize in the top right corner, Settings, Comments, scroll down to 'Show word verification for comments? ' then click no. It's pretty simple"

The Mythical Mountain Kingdom

Hi Class,

On page 91 of Three Cups of Tea (at the bottom of the page), Greg thinks about how when he was in California he remembered the town of Skardu being a "mythical mountain kingdom." With regard to the people how they acted and dressed, and the geographical surroundings, answer the following:

1. What do you think Greg meant by a mythical mountain kingdom? What made him believe this?

2. What is the reality Greg faces when he returns to Skardu.

The Book

To be perfectly honest, I wasn't sure if I was going to like Three Cups of Tea before I started reading it. Now that I'm a good deal of the way into it I find it very very fascinating!

What do you folks think? What are some of the more interesting parts of the book for you?

New Car

So I bit the bullet and finally bought a new car. After driving beaters all my life I now drive a 2010 S class Corolla. It's awesome. I mean, look at it.... It's so shiny. Actually mine has a spoiler as well but this is the closest picture I could find on the internet.
I'm very excited to commute to work in something comfortable and stylish.

I would love to say "Welcome boys and girls to an awesome 6-week summer session" but.... since you're only female.... "Bienvenidos muchachas!" I do not speak a lot of spanish but I like to throw it in every now and then.

I am excited for this semester and I think we're going to have a lot of fun together. Please remember that if you need help with ANYTHING, do not hesitate to ask.
